Dermot O’Leary- Chief Economist, Goodbody

  • Goodbody, founded in 1876, is Ireland’s longest established broker. It has been recognised as Ireland’s leading institutional broker in this year’s Extel awards and has a large and growing wealth management business. Dermot is chief economist since 2004 and is responsible for the firm’s macroeconomic output. He is a well-known economic commentator and is regularly quoted in publications such as the Financial Times, Irish Times and CNBC.

    Presentation title: Brexit – How bad could the economic damage be?

    Dermot will discuss address the complex economic and political aspects of Brexit, including the negotiating stances of the UK and EU sides. With such large uncertainty remaining, Dermot will lay out the scenarios and potential economic impacts of each.
